The Dangers That Exist In The Work Environment

The accident is an even that could not be expected. The accident occur become of condition that does not bring safety. An unhealthly work environment often interfere with the workers and can reduce the effectiveness of workers it self. To keep the safety offices at workplace, we should know the dangers that exist in the work environment such as chemical hazards, biological hazardz, and physical hazards.

The first danger is chemical hazards, when we direct contact with chemical hazards we should not put the chemical into our bodies like in touch, in breath etc. Because it will be impact directly and indirectly for our body. The chemical hazards in the work environment include corrotion, irritation, and reproductive effect. The corrosive natural of the chemical can cause damage at the place where the contact occurred. Like in the skin, in the eyes. While irritation can cause inflammation int the place where the contact occurred. The irritation can occur in respiratory organs, it can cause shortness breath. While reproductive effect, toxic material can affect the reproductive and sexual function like giving negative affect on descendants of people who are expose to the chemical effect.

The second dangers is biological hazards. Biological hazards can be defined as organic dust origination from different biological sources such as viruses and bacteria. Biological hazards are devided into two that are infection hazards and non infection hazards. Infection hazards is the incidence of disease caused by working in someplace like hospotal, laboratory and animal kepper. Then, the non infection hazards is disease that occurs because  the development of bacteria that are influenced by temperature and humidity and that can cause allergies, asthma etc.

The last dangers is physical hazards, physical hazards often occurs in the workplace because workers often ignore the important things that are considered to be not essential. Physical hazards  that can often cosidered trivial like noise, and the lighting. The noise is coming because there is sound. Sound is something that can not be avoided, including in the workplace, even the noise was coming from the sound of telephone, typewritter, and printing press. The noise is too high can cause permanent deafness. Therefore, the workers working in the factory with the intensity of the sound of the engine above 60 dB ear protective devices must be equipped. The next is the lighting. The lighting is needed in the work environment in order to provide comfort in works. The effect of bad lighting is become  uncomfortable and tired eyes. Therefore, enough light can increase the workers see the object clearly. However the way that can be done is to choose the type of the lamps like a fluorecent.

Accident can occur anywhere, even in the workplace. Accident can occur because to negligence of workers. Therefore before the accident accurred, identify the sources and potential danger around you, and watch you step because all in around of you there are many potential dangers.
